On The Same Page is a post-it poster—each post-it is a different voice. Sourced from high and low places, the excerpts echo and play off one another: a sociologist explains: “empathetic understanding provides the lifeblood—the psychic immune system—that is the humanity of the civil society” while one fictional vampire relates to another, “you feel too much, so much you make me feel,” a visual artist on her work explains: “in my work, sentimentality operates when emotions communicate authenticity that enables identification and solidarity among strangers...” and two New Yorkers are overheard in an office with Guy #1 confessing: “I’m not a very social person.” and Guy #2 retorting: “join the club.” When the quotations resonate with a viewer, the post-it format allows for their removal. Which slowly reveals over time my thesis title "I Read My Mind Through You".
